Audi changed direction with the newest S6 generation. The familiar performance sedan no longer exists with a combustion engine, as the S6 designation now belongs to the battery-electric version carrying the e-tron name. ABT Sportsline decided there was still room for something aimed at drivers who preferred the older recipe.
Its latest project focuses on the plug-in-hybrid Audi A6. After the tuner’s revisions, output climbs to 428 ps (422 hp/315 kW) together with 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. Factory figures for the regular model stand at 367 ps (362 hp/270 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). In other words, ABT added 61 ps (60 hp/45 kW) plus another 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

The standard car already combines several systems in one package. Audi uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine alongside an electric motor supplied by a 14.1 kWh battery. Official WLTP data lists 111 km (70 miles) of electric driving range.
Strange situation, though. The revised A6 now sits above another version offered in certain regions. That variant relies on a forced-induction 3.0-liter V6 rated at 362 hp (367 ps/270 kW). Even so, the older C9 Audi S6 still carried stronger numbers with 450 ps (444 hp/331 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) from its twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6.
ABT also altered the chassis setup. Lowering springs bring the body closer to the pavement and change the car’s overall stance. The visual treatment stays fairly restrained. That part feels deliberate rather than accidental.

Exterior additions include a gloss-black front splitter, a rear spoiler, trim attachments, and several smaller details spread across the body. The tuner also lists 21-inch ABT EVO wheels among the available components. Black quad tailpipes appear in the package too, together with illuminated door sills and dedicated floor mats.

At first glance, the car does not look radically different. Then you notice the lower ride height. The wheel fitment changes the proportions a bit. The darker exterior pieces shift the mood of the wagon without turning the project into something flashy.
Pricing for the entire conversion reaches €15,500 ($18,150) including tax. Buyers unwilling to purchase the complete setup still have separate options available. The ABT Power upgrade alone costs €2,990.01 ($3,500). The wheel package carries a €5,480 ($6,415) price.
For drivers disappointed by the disappearance of a combustion-powered S6, this modified Audi A6 moves closer to the space once occupied by that model.
